Anyone who lives in Pakistan for 183 days or more during a year is required to file a tax return. FBR stated that anyone living in Pakistan for 183 days or more in a year must file a tax return. Salaried persons, pensioners, and other taxpayers need to declare all sources of income, including salary, property, services, dividends, and bank profits.

The return form also asks for details about withholding taxes, deductions, tax credits, and reductions. FBR said taxpayers must also share information about their bank accounts, properties, and other personal assets when filing their returns.
