Apni Chhat Apna Ghar is a great initiative for the homeless population. CM Punjab, Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has launched the Apna Ghar Scheme, under which applicants can obtain an interest-free loan of Rs. 1,500,000. Beneficiaries will repay this loan in affordable installments. During the first year after the house is completed, they are not required to pay any installments. The applicant or a family member must be a permanent resident of Punjab, as indicated on their CNIC. The applicant must be the sole owner and in possession of a parcel of land measuring 5 Marla or less in urban areas, or up to 10 Marla in rural areas anywhere in Punjab, as of the date of online application submission, where they intend to construct their house. Additionally, the applicant should have no criminal record, including convictions related to anti-state or anti-social activities, or involvement in heinous crimes. The applicant must also not be a loan defaulter of any financial institution or bank.
